The brown/gray pyramid rust cutting media is to be used for medium rust and paint removal on steel, iron, stainless steel, aluminum, pot metal and copper. The abrasive is blended throughout so that fresh abrasive is constantly exposed to the substrate that is being cleaned. You can continue to reuse the media until it literally disappears. The media may be either a brown or gray color, but the grit is the same.
